Rerecord on Voicewriter 800

It seems that the re-record box (LX-090) on our Voicewriter 800 is bad. We have two VW800's and the problem follows the box... if you press the START button, the job stops as soon as you release the button instead of continuing until the job is complete. SO... can anyone recommend a third-party repair depot or someone that might have a LX-090 to sell?
