I can help explain the FTP process for you.

When you want to send something via FTP, you need for both people (sender and receiver) to have FTP software installed on their computers. Also, you need an FTP server in between the two of you. What exactly is an FTP server? Well, it is a software program that runs on a server computer that allows people to login and send/receive files. Usually, transcription companies will pay for a FTP service. The company I work for offers FTP service at $25/month. We also sell the FTP client software and help you install it. Along with that comes training on how to send filed with FTP and support with making sure the program is running ok on your system.
