Set the jumper settings on the new one as the master drive and the old one as the slave drive. Otherwise, it could try to load both OS at the same time. It's also easier to transfer your data files if you set up the master/servant drives. If you've already pulled the old one out to install the new one and are getting the error message, did you change the BIOS/CMOS settings yet? Here's an article to read on new hard drive issues.
