All you need is to buy & install LAN cards & cable (Local Area Network) in your computers to connect them. This will connect 2 computers ONLY. If you have to connect more than 2, you have to buy an additional router/hub which supports upto 6 - 80 computers in a network.

After that you can share everything on connected computers using Network Neighbourhood Icon on your desktop ranging from your documents to internet connection, DSL, Cable etc by specifiying the permissions.
