you would usually have to have two windows open, the place where you want to get the work from and the place where you want to get to the work to. Then right click on the file you want to put in a new place and then, keeping the mouse button held down, "drag" it to the window where you want it. When you let go of the mouse button, the file will drop into the new spot.
To cut and paste, put your cursor at the beginning of the text, hit the left mouse button, holding it down while you highlight all the text. Let go of the mouse button, then right click. A menu will pop up. choose CUT. The highlighted text will disappear. Go to the spot where you want it to be. Right click and on the menu choose PASTE. You would benefit from going through some tutorials included in Windows.
