Downloading Spell Checkers

Has anyone downloaded the free spell checker from Free-Medical-Spell-Check.com? Tried to contact them via their e-mail address with some questions but haven't received an answer -- been over a week. Will try again, though, but am curious if anyone out there is using it?

Also, just read all the input about MQ and some of the other companies and low pay and not enough work. Man, this is spooky -- especially for an "old-timer" transcriber who wants to get back into it. Maybe the Web and the companies who hire over it isn't the way to go.

Do know that there are physicians still using tape with the usual pick-up and drop-off. Is anyone out there working on a per-page rate instead of cpl? If so, what is the current rate? I'd rather work for myself and earn something substantial because I can't believe the low cpl so many are paying.

Any feedback?
