Linda...I believe XP is the new and improved version after 95 /98. If you're installing XP software on your existing system, you'll have no problem with your spellcheckers etc. I actually bought a new computer with XP installed so had to transfer all the important info. It went flawlessly. However, I started from scratch in my autotext and found out too late that it could have been transferred to the new computer. Oh well!! XP has a glitch here and there (as did Windows 95) but overall much easier to use and Microsoft is right on top of fixing errors. Good luck! Hope you like it.
