You put one end in the speaker jack hole of your computer/stereo and the other end in the microphone jack hole of the recorder, then record. It was a really cheap cord that came in a package of audio accessories I got at Radio Shack. You're not trying to transfer WAV files to tape because you don't have a WAV pedal for your computer, are you? I tried that years ago and it was too time consuming. It was cheaper to buy a WAV pedal on eBay. They sell generic ones that work with most setups for really cheap, but you need to look for "game pedal" instead of "WAV pedal." Mine was $10.
