need help with ShortCut

Not sure if this is the correct board for this but thought I would try - I just got ShortCut and cannot figure out how to lift text from a document to insert into the program to create a shortcut for later use - is this possible with ShortCut? Also is there a way to make the type larger on the expansion box when I am adding things? It is so small I can almost see it. Thanks.
