Requires typing skills of 70 WPM and a minimum of four years experience as a Medical Transcriptionist. Must have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills including English usage, grammar and punctuation and the ability to understand diverse accents and dialects and varying dictation styles. Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to work under pressure with time constraints. Previous pathology transcription experience desired.
