Diagnostic Imaging Days 30 Days HS Diploma or equiv required. Experience is preferred. To interpret, transcribe and edit Radiologists dictation on a variety of clinical reports. Transcribes dictation from radiologists’ reports including diagnostic testing reports, MRI, N.M., U.S., mammograms and special tests. Formats reports according to Radiology guidelines. Edits, revises, and clarifies transcription without altering the meaning or original intent/style of the dictator. Uses reference materials to facilitate the accuracy, clarity and completeness of reports. Maintains reference materials in a retrievable format. Identifies patient name and date of encounter using computerized Hospital Information System in the absence of clear designation by the dictator. Flags reports requiring corrections or clarification by the dictator prior to authentication. Corrects information incorrectly entered by dictator. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent with secretarial/transcription courses. Experience: A minimum of one years’ experience in a medical transcriptionist capacity, preferably in a radiology setting. Contact Information Human Resources/LT Tel: 663-2628
