Medical Transcriptionists perform as medical language specialists who interpret and transcribe dictation by medical and house staff physicians and other health care professionals regarding patient assessment, work up, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnosis, prognosis, etc., in order to document patient care and facilitate delivery of healthcare services. Medical Transcriptions should be experienced and capable of transcribing reports dictated in a Hospital setting, such as Discharge Summary Reports.
