A Transcend Medical Text Editor maintains overall quality control on assigned accounts or assigned duties. Responsible for the training of new hires on primary or secondary accounts. Proofread and/or correct any documents that have come to document completion. Provides appropriate feedback to MLS staff to ensure continued high-quality transcribed work. Must be willing to work as a transcriptionist initially as part of the training for this position.

PTO begins accruing immediately at a rate of 5 hours per pay period, but is not available to use until the 90 day probation period is complete

Requirements are as follows:

Be willing to have a flexible schedule

QA experience is required

Must have 7-10 years prior experience as a transcriptionist

Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the various medical specialties as required, knowledge of AAMT Book of Style as well as the Transcend Transcription Guidelines and practices

Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills including English usage, grammar, punctuation and style. ESL experience is a MUST.

Computer savvy.

MUST have cable or DSL Internet connection, and a separate phone line dedicated to Transcend Services to be able to receive incoming calls
