Medical Transcriptionist II

With virtually every specialty represented, the clinic's diverse services include athletic training, audiology, cardiopulmonary, diagnostic services, education classes, laboratory services, nurse midwifery, nutritional counseling, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, skin care, and speech therapy.Under general supervison and according to established policies & procedures, transcribes dictation by physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient assessment, diagnostic workup, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnosis, prognosis, etc., for inclusion in patient's medical records, in order to document patient care and faciliatate delivery of healthcare services.High school diploma or equivalent. Either completion of medical transcription certificate program and 1 yr. exp. transcribing clinical medical dictation for a medical office, clinic or hospital; OR a minimum of 2 yrs. exp. transcribing clinical medical dictation for a medical office, clinic or hospital and working knowledge of Windows 95 and Word 95 or higher. CMT status desirable. Educational requirements contained in this field supercede any educational requirements contained elsewhere in this job posting.
