The transcriptionist must accurately transcribe all medical record reports; utilize the Lanier Dictation System and the Meditech computer system; work closely with the Medical Staff and other departments of the hospital; be cross-trained to cover other areas of the department. Requirements: High school graduate. Experience as a transcriptionist in a Medical Record Department is required. Ability to work independently. Ability to work well with the Medical Staff. Quality standard for transcriptionists trainee = 95% accuracy on transcribed reports at the end of six months in order to be promoted to first level transcriptionist. Quality standard for experienced transcriptionist – 98% accuracy on transcribed reports. Contact Information
