Working in conjunction with an already existing in-house quality assurance team, this in-house Recruiter/Editor will design, develop and implement recruitment strategy to attract qualified US based medical transcriptionists, and thereafter provide editing support for quality assurance on a continuum basis.
Experience with recruiting, screening, interviewing, testing, and recommending prospective applicants for employment is required. Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical. The Recruiter/Editor will be familiar with HR standard concepts, practices, and procedures. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Duties and Responsibilities: -Design, develop and implement best methods/practices for attracting qualified candidates -Draft copy for and place recruitment ads -Prescreen/Interview applicants using behavioral-based interviewing technique -Evaluate applicants for suitability based on company production needs and work culture -Follow up with applicants regarding the results of transcription testing -Verbally offer positions to applicants who pass the interview process and transcription tests, as well as -review the pay scale, benefits, and any other pertinent company information -Add and update recruitment database so that it accurately reflects the most up-to-date applicant pool -Perform reference checks, check for accuracy and appropriate HR and employment documentation, creates offer letters and new-hire MT files -Maintain both manual and electronic new-hire MT records, collect and compile sensitive and confidential personnel data, and prepare HR reports -Assist newly-hired transcriptionists with remote training based on account specifics and needs -Assign and manage schedules for all new hire transcriptionists based on account needs -Maintain daily and weekly reports in new-hire transcriptionists productivity and quality -Manage and maintain required MT productivity levels, communicating with the QA team, editors and management, and instituting proper procedures if at any time MT performance is noted to be below required levels Job Requirements: -Require 2-3 years of related human resources experience; Associates Degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline, BS preferred or the equivalent combination of education, professional training and work experience. At least two years of experience in a medical transcription recruitment position -Prior QA/editing experience of minimum 5 years with strong background in acute care editing CMT/RHIT/PHR certifications preferred -Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, AAMT guidelines and procedures -Strong MT relationships a must -Solid knowledge of personnel policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws regarding employment hiring practices -Excellent interviewing techniques with a pleasant phone demeanor -Ability to professionally turn away candidates who are found to be unqualified for a transcription position -Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are a must since priorities shift constantly -Proficiency in current technologies using Internet, Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint -Must be self-driven and a team player -Exceptional attention to detail and the ability/desire to effectively work with numbers is required with ability to self audit prior to processing and correct errors in a timely fashion TechScript provides competitive salary, with generous benefits package and growth opportunity.
