Medical language specialist who transcribes dictation of healthcare providers in order to provide documentation of patient care and other encounters as well as to support clinical information management activities. On-call position to fill in for staff on PTO, illness and during production backlogs.High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in transcription of medical dictation with the ability to transcribe a minimum of 100/lines per hour with 98% accuracy .Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience with a multi-specialty clinic setting.Knowledge of human anatomy and physiologyKnowledge of signs and symptoms, medications and laboratory procedures and valuesExcellent word processing skillsAbility to communicate clearly and tactfully in order to interact appropriately with co-workers, physicians, patients and customers.High attention to detailWork calmly and effectively when challengedReflect initiative and teamworkExcellent customer service skillsKnowledge of Windows and MS WordAbility to work under pressure with time constaints.
