We are currently seeking a Medical Transcriptionist in our St. Louis facility. The hours of this second shift position are 11:00am – 7:00pm, Monday – Friday with occasional Saturdays.

The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for the accurate and timely transcription of surgical reports, non-gyn cytology, cytogenetics reports. Additional responsibilities will include composing routine correspondence; interpret, translate, and edit medical dictations according to established departmental procedures.

This position requires:

High School diploma or equivalent

2-3 years anatomic pathology / medical transcription experience required.

Ability to type a minimum of 60 wpm.

Sound understanding of medical terminology and grammatical principles

Good verbal and written communication skills

Microsoft Word experience

Professional and courteous telephone etiquette

Must deal with confidential material in a discreet manner
