Centralized Transcriptionist-Diagnostic Imaging – In this position, you will transcribe diagnostic radiology, Nuclear Medicine, computed tomography, ultrasound, non-invasive vascular, and interventional radiology reports, meeting established production and turn around times, from dictation recorded by the radiologists and, on occasion, by outside physicians. Top candidates will possess:
- Education: High school graduation or equivalent. Related course work in business skills preferred.
- Experience: Prior transcribing experience is required, preferably within a hospital setting.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic procedures terminology, human anatomy and physiology is required .
- Special Skills/Equipment: Ability to type 65 cwpm is required. Experience using a word processing system and MS WORD.
Ability to work easily in an environment of constant and varied interruption and demands.
Ability to use business office machines, i.e. dictating equipment, typewriter, computer, laser printers. FAX and copy machines.
