We are currently seeking a Medical Transcriptionist in our Chantilly, Virginia facility. The hours of this position are 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.

The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for the accurate and timely transcription of surgical reports, non-gyn cytology, cytogenetics reports. Additional responsibilities will include composing routine correspondence; interpret, translate, and edit medical dictations according to established departmental procedures.

This position requires:

High School diploma or equivalent

2-3 years medical transcription experience required.

Secretarial experience may be substituted in part, depending upon applicability.

Ability to type a minimum of 60 wpm.

Sound understanding of medical terminology and grammatical principles

Good verbal and written communication skills

Microsoft Word experience

Professional and courteous telephone etiquette

Must deal with confidential material in a discreet manner
