Transcriptionists Medical Transcriptionists Hamot Medical Center is seeking a full-time second shift Medical Transcriptionist and a full-time first shift Medical Transcriptionist Team Leader. Candidates for both positions must be knowledgeable in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, be able to type 60 wpm and have an excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. We are offering a new salary structure, flexible work hours and an excellent benefit package. Hamot provides computer equipment to enable Transcriptionist to work from their homes after successfully reaching productivity and quality requirements. Second Shift Transcriptionist Candidates must have two years of medical transcription experience in an acute care facility or an Associate Degree in Medical Transcription. Weekends and holiday rotation are required. Second shift Transcriptionists receive supplemental pay along with shift differential. Medical Transcriptionist Team Leader Candidates must be a graduate of a two year business program and have three years of Medical Transcription experience in an acute care setting or a high school graduate or equivalent with five years of Medical Transcription experience in an acute care setting. Candidates must have experience transcribing several different report types.
