Transcribes highly technical medical dictation relative to patient care for inclusion in patient medical records. Interprets and transcribes dictation by physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient assessment, work-up, therapeutic, clinical course, diagnosis, prognosis, etc., in order to document patient care and facilitate delivery of healthcare services.

Experience: Medical Transcriptionist-WH 1
Knowledge of medical terminology and transcription standards normally acquired through
completion of an approved Medical Secretary vocational training program with emphasis on
medical terminology and anatomy, a one year diploma in Medical Transcription and/or
related job experience.
Experience with word processing beneficial, along with certification as a Certified Medical
Transcriptionist (CMT) and/or certification from the American Association of Medical
Transcriptionists (AAMT).
Possesses ability to transcribe at a minimum rate of 55 lines per hour.
Works under pressure with time constraints.
Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills including English usage
grammar, punctuation and style.
