Digestive Disease Consultants, P.C. located in East Setauket, NY is a fast paced GI practice seeking a full-time medical transcriptionist.

Duties:
*Responsible for transcribing all dictated materils within a 48 hour period
*Responsible for providing any missing data and/or enclosures for report
completion via locating patient chart, calling another physician's office, etc.
*Must become familiar with office operational procedures in relation to
transcription.
*Must work independently
*Must be able to interact with physicians, nurse practitioners, and all other
office staff.
*Must keep all correspondence confidential and transcribed according to
practice standards and format

Qualifications:
*Three years minimum medical transcription required in hospital and/or GI
transcription.
*Must have outstanding typing skills and understanding of the English
language
*Professional demeanor
