Summary:
The Medical Transcriptionist is a skilled individual who accurately and efficiently transcribes dictated medical reports for a wide variety of medical specialties.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a Medical Transcription, or equivalent program and/or a minimum of one year experience in Medical Transcription. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is required. This position requires an excellent command of the English language with advanced editing skills. Must have accurate keyboarding skills with the ability to type 70 words per minute. Possesses the ability to operate the computer, telephone, transcription equipment, fax and copier equipment.
