Vanishing help files

Again Microsoft has shot itself in the foot, frustrated users and angered developers.

If you've noticed that help no longer shows in many of your programs, you can blame MS and their security service pack MS04-023 (published 3/18/05).That service pack stops the showing of ANY .chm help file, and this in spite of the fact that for 10 years MS has pushed .chm as the format of choice for help files.

Among the programs we offer, this just affects MPWord 5, for the older programs use .hlp help files. We are working on an alternate format for the help files, and will publish the solution within a couple weeks.
