I'm talking about actual medical transcription experience. As an employee, I make 9 CPL transcribing oodles of ESLs, 15 years acute care experience, hundreds of docs, 10 hospitals. With bonus, I make more. 8500 lines for two weeks is not good for someone with experience. Okay for a newbie. Should be at least 12,000 lines for two weeks for someone with experience. That is the bare minimum to get by. This is working for a national. The newbies don't make good money for awhile. Sorry, but that is the way it is. You can make more $ as an IC, but no benefits.
