I prefer my babysitters to come to my house, but if they are younger (11-13) and their mom will be home when they are babysitting, then maybe taking the kids to their house is preferable. If you would rather have the babysitter come to your house but they have offered theirs, just tell them that you'd rather have the kids watched at your house where they feel more comfortable (and if it's night sleep in their own bed). I pay about $4.00 an hour, usually $20 for a five-hour "sitting."
