Oh, where to start!!

I transcribe Social Security disability determination service exams/psychology, and have become increasingly concerned over the past two or so years about what I am typing!! These people have education? through either the 4th or 9th grades, most do not speak very good English, most do not work and have never worked because they "don't like to be around people" or their "backs hurt", have "authority figure" problems, have been in and out of jail/prison for alcohol/drugs/murder, have a history of alcohol abuse, come from backgrounds of abuse and neglect where there are numerous siblings (where's the birth control??), on and on and on!! A good number of these people even smoke a pack or more a day (where I'm from that's approximately $127.50 a month). These are the people who are filing for AND RECEIVING SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS, FOOD STAMPS and other various types assistance.

As I sit here day after day, hour after hour typing these reports, my neck kills me, my eyesight is failing, my hearing is not doing so well, I need a knee replacement and I have a frikken headache (whew, I feel better), but I can't afford not to work and just "suffer through it" every day. I lost my health insurance when a job went to EMR. I don't qualify for SS Disability, I don't qualify for Food Stamps, I don't qualify for General Assistance and I cannot afford health insurance.

Now, when I hear of all the "illegals" coming across the border, you're damn right I get upset. YOU SHOULD TOO!! I'm only typing on ONE account for SS, ONE office in ONE state. Can you only imagine ...
