This is Express Scribe's home page and that is where I downloaded that program free and also purchased my foot pedal from them. I don't know as a $69 foot pedal would work all that great but I purchased one from them for about $100--very similar to the actual brand name Wav pedal that some dealers sell for up to $200! This company is out of Australia, I believe. Like you, I worked with tapes for years and didn't have a clue. My foot pedal is great, no problems with it and Express Scribe is easy to learn.
