MQ lowest of lows/government $

To shed a different perspective on all the posts. I was diagnosed with a very rare disease 4 yrs ago and had radiation/chemo, the works and my MQ office has been nothing but fantastic, again, my CSC, not corporate. The let me work flexed as to my energy, chemo dose, pain, etc and now I'm in remission praise the lord, since this is considered terminal, just the rate is not predictable.
As for SSD, Medicaid/Care and all those mentioned..well, I just GOT my first SS disability check last month, after over 3 yrs of fighting..I HAD to keep working as much as I could, so I could afford to pay my medical bills/drugs/food,etc. That survival income DISQUALIFIED me from Medicaid because I made 14.76 more per month then they allowed. Thank God for food pantries, my community and my family for keeping me going mentally & my doc's for the physical end. You've never known how easy the thoughts to end it all are as to when you feel so powerless, degraded asking for help when you've supported yourself for over 40 years, but I'm a fighter and the more unjust I see in this world, the more I fight it.
So, the answer to the terminal issue is that NO, it does NOT grant you an automatic in for $$$$$$$$ or any kind of federal,local, state government aid. I'm not getting SSD for the terminal illness but the others now caused by it. That is why there are so many nonprofits, church missions, food pantries,shelters, missions, soup kitchens..because there are so many many working poor..it's not all just the wino's or druggies.
I have never ever had a racist fiber in my body, but as I sat in the various offices applying for some help of some kind, it just got to be a raw nerve watching all the ESL's that were walking out with benefits...Guess the gov's try to play the waiting game...delay a terminally ill persons benefits, make it hard and hopefully they will go away...just not right!
Then you get total idiots like the one in MQ corp that would say that to your friend, and you wish you could sentence them to a month working at Hospice or Shriners..so that they had a CLUE!
