Some of my best friends are men, and yes, I would like my daughter to marry one, which she did last January. I have no problem with male people at all. I love them dearly--but you can, for example, love horses without having any desire to own one, especially if you can't afford the upkeep. I'm just old and set in my ways, and I refuse to try to adjust myself to fit anybody else's agenda, that's all. I'm also too old to have any hormones, and for that I'm grateful. I'm a contented old cow, happily out to pasture, with many male friends and relatives that I love. It's easier to blame the entire opposite sex for the failure of our own dysfunctional choices in the past than to acknowledge our own part in what happened to us. Men are just people, same as us, and we are all flawed. If you (in the generic sense, not the personal sense) go around wearing a sign saying, "I'm worthless, please hurt, use and abuse me so I'll know I'm alive", there will always be some sicko out there who will volunteer to do so, be you a man or a woman. I was sicker than the men I married and recruited to abuse me.
