Just a really dumb question

Hi, kind of frustrated here and wondering how other medical transcriptionists are doing it.

Scenario being that I live in Las Vegas right now, but SO owns a newspaper in the Los Angles area. He has had his share of creditors not paying him on time etc (so it's not just medical transcription) -- anyway to make a long story short, I want to be able to relocate to the greater Los Angeles area when my lease is up in July, but with the wages that are being paid for medical transcriptionists, I have NO clue how we could afford something other than a studio apartment -- thing of it is too, is that credit on either side isnt the greatest, but at least on my part, I have been able to pay my rent on time etc, but the paycheck leaves me for little else other than "basic living expenses"

ANY advice or help from medical transcriptionists in that are would be GREATLTY appreciated -- Ontario and that vicinity is out because of his commute and I am thinking Lancaster and Palmdale -- right now for a three bedroom modular in Vegas I am paying $900 a month but it leaves me with VERY little left over.
