closing with the speed of light because they can't afford to keep their doors open. I have a friend who has no insurance and she has a bladder thing going on - she could have cancer - it looks like it to me but I'm not going to tell her that of course. She has been to this stupid walk in clinic 3 times - and some nurse practitioner has "seen" her - has never done an exam on her, never even touched her! And so far she has paid for 3 office visits at $70 a pop, plus the medication at over $150 so far. No doctor in sight - I have a sneaky suspicion this doctor is not in the picture but there in name only. Without insurance, without the money to pay for visits, without jobs - how the heck do doctors and hospitals think they will keep their customer base? They can ask for $1000 for a trip through the ER where the doctor does nothing but fly in, write a script, and fly out - if you are even lucky enough to see somebody that high up on the food chain! - But they can't get blood out of a turnip, and they won't get money out of theh patients going there. And soon like hundreds of other hospitals around the country - that hospital will close - the one who has the nerve to require $1000 for a "nothing" visit. Enjoy your Lexus and pool now, doc, because your bubble is fixin to bust.
