FURIOUS WITH MEDQUIST - MTs what do you think of this NEW MEMO???

I am SO MAD I cannot even breathe right. Want to get your feedback, cause this one has me ready to send their computer packing. Received a memo via snail mail today on new "guidelines" - now they are doing the POINT DEDUCTION THINGIE for errors, etc. Fine - whatever, but the ONE RULE I WILL NOT ABIDE BY IS: "Use a single space following a period or colon instead of the traditional two"... Can you believe it? This isn't even proper business typing. I am SO OLD - I cannot do it. AND TO SAVE A SPACE? Talk about cheap! Its something I just am NOT willing to change, so I'm done, I guess. What do you think? Do you agree? How can you type without double spacing at the end of a sentence?
