Our hospital has always used CS. We upgraded about 4 years ago, working in Windows with Word. You can make your own expanders. As far as getting kicked out, that hardly ever happens to me, but if you do, the document is saved in a file. If the hospital doesn't purchase enough licenses, and all of them are being used, it won't let you log on. Normally, it's because somebody in medical records logged on to get something, and they need to log off. As far as being user-friendly, transcription-friendly, I give it a thumbs-up.
