If you are doing acute care, it is fair. If you are doing radiology, it may be a lot as the reports are shorter and it takes time to get in and out of the demographics. I do 60 minutes of dictation in about 2 to 3 hours if that helps you. That would be a 2:1 ratio and sometimes 3:1, depending on the dictators and how I am feeling that day! It varies. Some days, not often, but it may take me 4 hours to do 60 minutes. It all depends. I think 80 minutes in an 8 hour day is very fair, that is only 10 minutes 10 minutes of dictation an hour.
