That is the same old tired philosophy used by the anti-union group since the Reagan years. Wages are pretty much stagnant or declining in all work sectors. So if the blame for rising costs, and now exporting jobs, is to be laid at the feet of the "overpaid" union workers, then will someone please explain to me why prices are still rising? If it takes $25/hour for a bolt turner to be able to make a decent living, then that's what I think he/she is worth. And BTW, $25/hour wages these days does NOT constitute wealth, rather barely enough to tiptoe up to the middle class!
