Indian MT productivity is about the same as domestic MTs

The only thing that slows them down is when there are political or social issues that require them to not come to work. Recently the American evangelist Benny Hinn visited Bangalore for a crusade and upset the entire city, and as a result, many of the employees did not go to work that day. (Do a Google search if you find that hard to believe. The story was widely reported.)

Honestly, there's really not much difference in their productivity or in their QA scores. (I don't agree with outsourcing, so don't even start on me.) I'm just stating what I have seen during the past 5-6 years since the MTSO I work for started outsourcing.
