I make a decent line rate - although not making a living because I'm doing only difficult jobs.
And I don't feel I should have to "beg" or "cajole" to get decent work. Do you feel that should be part of the job of an MT - to beg to get decent work? I thought work came out and what came next is what you did, and that evens out everything. Everybody gets a little bad with the good. But that obviously is not how this game is played at all. Some days I think they are just wishing I'd quit. Better to have a newbie struggle through paying her 6 cents a line than to pay more than that and get the same struggling. The sad part is it doesn't have to be this way. The guys who run these transcription company don't have a clue how to run this business. And whoa be it for them to ask any of us for our input.
