to be a MT, does one HAVE to (more)

work every day, typing over 1000 lines. We have a budding computer business and a farm and there are some days when I won't have that much time. There are some days, however, when I have more than that much time and would really appreciate the income. Are there any companies where you can work intermittently like that w/out getting canned? Please don't take offense. I know there are a lot of dedicated MT''s here. I just want to know this information before I spend badly needed income on a class. Thanks.
