I see a lot of people saying they don't get paid for training in transcription jobs anymore. What a jip! ANY employee being trained, I believe, should at least get a base hourly pay. If they are going to be paid on production, then keep the base pay until they are up to speed. I was told at one of my jobs that transcriptionists were considered a "necessary evil." Well, we definitely get treated that way a lot of the time.
