Okay, the situation

I had our IT tech come in and check my sound board settings, etc. Well, it's not the sound board, it's more than likely the fact that the doctors are dictating into the old VoiceWriter system and then the voice files are being funneled off into the VXP system. So in effect I guess we are "bleeding" off, as you had suggested. Who knows why the physicians aren't directly dictating into the VXP system. My IT guy says the sound quality would probably not be so degenerated if they were directly dictating into VXP. Why they are doing it this way, I'm not quite sure. My boss contacted a Lanier mucky-muck this morning about the situation and apparently he was "planning" on sending a couple of their technicians up here because they have some ideas that "may actually help." Agghh.
