if the problem is that you have only one computer to use to convert the files to wav, wouldn't it be worth it to buy an inexpensive second computer (with a good sound card) and an inexpensive tape player to convert the files? If you can work at your main computer while the files are being converted, you wouldn't really be losing any work time.

For 20 doctors, it could be a lot of money.

Besides, over time maybe some of those 20 will decide to go with digital -- you could talk them into it or maybe they will see the much faster TAT the 2 doctors on digital are getting and will make that decision for themselves.

It really all depends on how much money you stand to bring in with those 20 doctors versus whether you are willing to pay for a second computer, etc. I would think that with 20 doctors and the low cost of computers these days it would be more than worth it to keep those doctors.

I'd think long and hard before giving up the possibility of 20 doctors. Accounts are getting harder and harder to find, and 20 doctors is like money in the bank.
