I've recently decided this is not for me anymore anyway. I have recently applied for (and have been offered) a position teaching preschool two days a week and sadly that salary will almost make up for my transcription salary. I always said if I didn't do transcription I would go back for my teaching certification and I think that is what I will do when my husband finishes school. I feel like offshoring, VMR and the like will make this market very competitive and I figure I'll leave it for the people who really love doing it. They are the ones who should get the good jobs, they will do the best work.
