that is the best way to start. If they have in-house transcription many of them now let you have the choice to work at the hospital or work at home after a short training period. Even if the hospital is a bit far away, if you can work at home after the training it is well worth it. The pay, benefits and stability are much better than you will find with any service. Good Luck!
