We tried everything, bribes, washing it down with soda or chocolate milk, telling him he won't get better until he takes it, being firm. He used to clamp his lips shut and the medicine would trickle down his chin and shirt onto the floor. I tried plugging his nose to get him to open up. We did the syringe type medicine droppers, too, but he'd gag until he got sick. After getting medication all over the kid, myself, the floor, our clothes and the bed, we finally decided to ask the doctor to switch the prescription to chewable. She called the pharmacy and my son did fine. No more liquids.
