are the simplest to remember. One word for followup as a noun and adjective. Verb always two words. I find as an editor that this is very difficult for people to remember. Some companies are emphatic with this, others not. I don't let it bother me. I do it the simplest way. If I see it hyphenated as an adjective, I will leave it, BUT hyphenated in any other form is not correct though not a disaster because it used to be correct at one time. Some habits are just hard for folks to change. That's one of those things that is not a life or death situation.
