I'm having enough trouble figuring out the schedule C with one SE full-time employer. I'm using taxact.com. The instructions are worthless, to me anyhow.

They need a category just to address MTs. They don't even have a classification to choose from that describes our job.

I would assume you would have to claim some percentage of the percentage, which is how they do it (the ratio of home office space to area of home). Unbelievable that they have no instructions about that.

I'm having problems getting through the utilities portion of schedule C. It says one thing about electricity, but then says don't put any part of your electricity on the line... spent 3 hours on this last night trying to figure it out and just getting ready to go at it again. Hopefully my head is clearer tonight!

I'm hoping not to have to resort to paying someone to do this. I paid H&R Block $200 one year for a schedule C. Pretty much defeated the purpose.
