They MAKE the rules...Same rule about W2s being postmarked no later than 1/31 has been in place for YEARS. Usually, companies are not willing to reprint/remail until 2 weeks past the date they actually mailed them. I don't blame them. Mail runs slow; sometimes employees/ICs don't update addresses; new carriers; lots of reasons why mail runs slow. They don't have to mail them 1st class either...which may take a few more days. Usually a week or so. Costs extra money to reprint and remail when by that time you usually have received them anyway.
