
I would like to either be able to treat MQ as a client - raising my "rate" now

It does take some thought and it does take some work - and all people along the way have to be involved. It cannot be just the MTs making sense out of nonsense - meaning - if a report is unintellitible - don't tell us to type it and send it on to QA! - send it to the account manager and let them see there is a pattern - and when a specific doctor is consistently unintellitible - THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE IN THE COST FOR THE REPORT! Why keep having people all along the way having to deal with this doctor and the doctor get off scott-free? He should be involved in the process - my goodness! he IS the biggest part of the process. So, either let me treat my transcription company as a client and tell them what will and won't do - or let me be an employee and guarantee me an income. Either way I will finally make a decent salary - because if they are my clients I will put it in my contract that I WILL CHARGE MORE FOR UNINTELLIGIBLE REPORTS!
